This month’s feature presentation is:
Local Architects Round Table Discussing Building Code and Revit
Building Code is constraints determined by relationships between the designed building elements and spaces for life safety. Revit is a database, a visual relational database. Revit is well suited to help Architects and Engineers assist in determining whether a building's design meets Building Code. July's meeting invites three local architects to discuss how they have used Revit to assist them in determining efficiently and effectively Building Code. This may involve presenting the results on life-safety sheets or as simple as quality checks for design and communication with team members.
Julie Kidder with Design Group,
Arthur McGoey with SMPC Architects and
Logan Piburn with Dyron Murphy Architects
Julie is an Architect with 5 plus years manipulating Revit to produce remarkable feats of design and programming, from Family creation to recently Dynamo Scripts.
Arthur is an Architect who not only has worked on major building projects from New York to our very own ABQ but is also inspiring young architects at UNM to embrace new technologies while instilling architectural theory.
Logan is a Building Code Specialist and BIM/Revit Specialist with over 10 years experience from project delivery, design, specifications, quality control and construction administration.
