BIM/VDC - Exploring Use Cases with Jonathan Widney, founder of Naviswork
Jonathan is the President of Solibri LLC, the US Headquarters for the Helsinki, Finland software developer (now a Nemetschek company). Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Solibri provides solutions for automating the process of 3D model checking for many BIM Use Cases, including QA/QC, spatial validation, code compliance, LoD, COBie, and Construction Site Safety (and more).
Over the past 25 years Jonathan has been developing markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and since 2001 the Americas for major Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Digital Technology developers.
Prior to establishing Solibri LLC (2008), Jonathan founded NavisWorks, Inc. (2001), the US subsidiary of NavisWorks UK Ltd., which was subsequently purchased by Autodesk, Inc. (2007).
Jonathan has been involved with BIM (Building Information Modeling) from its inception and has co-authored several BIM courses for the Associated General Contractors of America (BIM Education Program).
